Who touched my word searches?!
BLACKOUT is our submission for the 2026 Rule-Discovery Paper Puzzle Game Jam.
This was our first jam, so of course we overscoped. We spent so much time on a few of the puzzles that the actual rule discovery aspect may be a little underbaked.
Still, happy with what we were able to make! Seasoned players may think it looks a bit like Playcebo excellent 12 word searches, but we hope you'll see we went a different direction with it.

Printing instructions: The file is printer-friendly, with the pages in booklet order. Print double-sided, mirroring along the short edge of the page. The print margins need to be cut off (there's a dotted line). The end result should look like the picture below. Printing b/w is fine, it doesn't affect the game.

I’m not sure if I’ve finished yet (rot13: V’z gelvat gb prafbe gur ynfg bar ohg abg fher jung vg qbrf), but I think p3 should have one more blank?
I'm not sure if that's correct, could you be more specific about what is missing?

Also, since you're our first commentor: did you enjoy puzzle 6? It's what we spent by far the most effort on 😅
I was thinking that for the last one, I'm just not the best at word searches hehe. I'll continue.
